Hyper-connected technology for homes of the future
ISH 2015: Möhlenhoff presents a number of innovations for the smart home growth market
At ISH 2015 Möhlenhoff GmbH will present innovative heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems for a hyper-connected home. ISH is the world’s biggest trade show for bathroom, building, energy and air-conditioning technology and renewables (10 - 14 March, Frankfurt am Main).
Under the banner of “OEM for smart home technology” the North-German company will be showing the new OEM Alpha 2: system which can be seamlessly integrated into existing home automation systems. As a result, Möhlenhoff is adopting a new sustainable strategy to support its OEM partners perfectly on the up-and-coming smart-home market.
Optimally networked for comfort and efficiency
In conjunction with the European market leader for home automation, eQ-3 AG, Möhlenhoff is developing a completely new product range. Called Alpha IP, it will be available from 2016 and be presented at ISH to the public for the first time. The control system for heating, air-conditioning and ventilation technology uses the eQ-3 HomeMatic IP communications protocol which is based on the Ipv6 transmission standard. Therefore, it can be easily and reliably integrated into eQ-3’s home automation systems. Users can define recurrent standard routines through scenarios. Consequently, they can make substantial energy savings because individual components like underfloor heating or ventilation are ideally coordinated with one another.
Room-by-room temperature control for Smart Home systems
Möhlenhoff’s new OEM Alpha 2: system is an excellent choice for the smart home. The multi-purpose room-by-room temperature control system for heating and cooling applications is available in a wireless or BUS version and can be easily connected with the home automation system via an open XML interface. Users can configure and operate the system conveniently via an integrated software interface with a laptop, tablet or smartphone – from their home network or online worldwide. For wired room-by-room temperature control Möhlenhoff’s OEM Alpha direct: system is a tried-and-tested solution with a new, modern design. It can implement even complex systems efficiently and reliably.
OEM Actuator 5 – Proven and forward-looking technology
At ISH the company will also be showcasing thermal actuators from the OEM Actuator 5 product family. Due to their superb functionality and durability, these products already have a proven track record. With power consumption of just one watt, the actuators are the most energy efficient on the market. They are used for example in underfloor heating and in building control systems. A new product is a unit with a 6.5 millimetre stroke and actuating force of 125 Newtons for especially precise control results. Where space is at a premium Möhlenhoff has the Smart Valve Drive with a 3.5 millimetre stroke and an actuating force of 90 Newtons. With its Motoric Valve Drive the company is also offering a motoric valve actuator with an 8.5 millimetre stroke and 200 Newton actuating force.
Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery completes the package
As ideal additions to the smart home, Möhlenhoff has various OEM system solutions for controlled home ventilation which can also be integrated into the home automation system via an XML interface. These aren’t just easy to fit and operate, they require very little maintenance as well. They also make use of heat recovery. This makes them especially energy efficient and sustainable. Möhlenhoff’s OEM customers receive all ventilation components, comprehensive literature and service offerings from one single source.
We look forward to meeting you!
